*It Came From Ohio, My Life As a Writer, by R.L. Stine as told by Joe Arthur (*Note, although I have never read any of R.L. Stine's children's books, because personally, I believe they promote
too much horror to children, I was interested to find out why someone would want to write such books for kids. When
you read his biography, you realize he did it for the money. According to the book, before R.L Stine became a household name
as a children's author, he was a magazine writer who wrote comedic, lighthearted pieces, and even celebrity gossip.
My personal thoughts are never to do something for the money. Even though many may say he's successful, can you imagine
if he were writing positive things, the amount of books he would sell, and stadiums he'd sell out -- just take a look
at Pastor Joel Osteen.)
